A soft material palette and open plan living was at the heart of the brief for this East London apartment. Studio Hagen Hall looked to muted textures and colours to create a warm atmosphere, while introducing long clean lines throughout to maintain a sense of maturity and timelessness.

After spying the clever spatial and interior redesign completed in a neighbouring apartment, the client commissioned Studio Hagen Hall to re-energise and revitalise their one bedroom flat in East London. The designers took the same rigorous approach to hidden storage and crafting a seamless flow of movement around the flat. A bespoke oak kitchen with built in bench seating anchors the bright, open plan living area. Oak cabinetry wraps around the living area, unifying the kitchen, living and dining zones in a long, unifying gesture.

Floor to ceiling oak cupboards allow clutter and appliances to be tucked away, while sliding pocket doors maintain the sense of openness throughout the small floor plan. A muted micro cement bathroom is directly accessible off the central hallway, fitted with an overhead shower and fluted glass screening.
